With altitudes ranging from 1000 to 1,300 meters above sea level, the region’s climate and terrain create ideal conditions for coffee cultivation. The majority of coffee in Minas Gerais is produced by family farmers on small plots averaging 10 hectares or less, with an emphasis on sustainable farming practices.

Coffees from this region are known for their bright acidity, with fruity notes like red fruits, berries, and tropical flavors such as mango, papaya, and passion fruit. These beans often feature a balanced sweetness with hints of chocolate, caramel, and nuts, and a medium to full body, making them complex and flavorful.
